Mrs. King's and Mrs. Gidcomb's Eighth Grade Civil War Project:  With a partner, students researched various topics about the Civil War and presented their findings to their classmates.  Some of the students choose PowerPoint as the method to teach their classmates, and below are some samples.  Click here to see the topics and requirements.

Mrs. Gidcomb's Eighth Grade Language Arts Research Project Students individually researched a country or an immigrant group.  Then they wrote research papers that included in-text citations and work cited pages.

Students who researched immigrant groups also created PowerPoints to share with their findings.

Mrs. Ingram's and Mrs. Gidcomb's Seventh Grade Language Arts Leaders Forum:  Students researched famous people and wrote their findings up in a bio-poem.

Mrs. Ingram's advanced class also wrote poems for two voices that compared and contrasted their famous people.

Ms. Grindley's Sixth Grade Social Studies With a partner, students researched European countries and created tourism ads for their countries using Photo Story, which was a new software program for all.

Ms. Labayen's Language Arts Classes: Sixth and seventh grade students wrote several poems and then choose their favorites to make into a Photo Story.

Mr. Striegel and Mrs. Phillips's First Hour Eighth Grade Social Studies Class: Students created PowerPoint presentations to illustrate their trips to national parks.
