Mrs. King's and Mrs. Gidcomb's Eighth Grade Civil War Project
With a partner, students researched various topics about the Civil War and presented their findings to their classmates.  Some of the students choose PowerPoint as the method to teach their classmates, and below are some samples.  Click here to see the topics and requirements.

Students individually researched a country or an immigrant group.  Then they wrote research papers that included in-text citations and work cited pages.

Students researched famous people and wrote their findings up in a bio-poem.

Ms. Grindley's Sixth Grade Social Studies
With a partner, students researched European countries and created tourism ads for their countries using Photo Story, which was a new software program for all.
