| The Internet is to be used for classroom
assignments only. You must have a pass from your teacher to use
the Internet. Printing from the computers is ONLY when your teacher or librarian instructs you to. We do not have an endless supply of paper, so information from the web and homework assignments will NOT be printed. Flashsticks are the ONLY acceptable storage device. Surfing is NOT allowed. Reading e-mail is NOT permitted. Playing games is NOT permitted. Do not change the settings on the computers. This includes screen savers, backgrounds, and font styles. Such action is interpreted as computer misuse. |
Consequences
for Computer Misuse First violation: verbal notice to student, written notice to parents. Student will forfeit computer privileges for 10 school days. Second violation: verbal warning to student, written notice to parents.Student will forfeit computer privileges for 20 school days. The student and his/her parent/guardian will be required to meet with the building principal during the period. Third violation: verbal notice to student, written notice to parents.The student will forfeit computer privileges for period of one calendar year.The student will be suspended for 3 school days.The student and his/her parent/guardian will be required to meet with the building principal during the period. |
