We had a great visit from the Unity High School pep band today! Our students loved the energy and excitement, and it was extra special to see our 5th grade band members jump in and perform alongside them at the end. A fun experience for everyone and a great way to celebrate music at all levels!

We ended the 3rd quarter with an assembly doing our favorite thing, celebrating our students!🥳 We recognized our Students of Character who were chosen by their teachers and classmates. We also highlighted some students for their growth and achievement on our yearly IAR assessments as we prepare for our upcoming state tests.🌟 We are looking forward to a great 4th quarter so we can end the school year strong!🚀

Unity East Families, we are asking all of our parents and guardians to please take a few minutes to complete the 5Essentials Survey. This survey gives us valuable feedback about five important areas of our school: Effective Leaders, Collaborative Teachers, Involved Families, Supportive Environment, and Ambitious Instruction. Your input truly helps us celebrate what is going well and identify areas where we can continue to grow. This survey is confidential and only takes about 10-15 minutes. We appreciate your partnership and your voice in supporting our school community.

Unity School District will be utilizing an E-Learning Day on Monday, January 26.

Forecasted wind chills and significant snowfall are creating dangerously cold conditions, and for student safety, in-person classes will not be held.

At this time, this decision applies only to Monday. However, current forecasts indicate that extreme cold conditions may continue later in the week. Families may want to begin thinking ahead and making contingency plans in case additional E-Learning Days or school closures become necessary. Any further decisions will be communicated as soon as possible.

We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we continue to monitor the weather and make decisions based on student safety.

Thank you for your understanding.

We’re taking this snowy day to highlight some student success from our Let Grow program.

Last month we loved seeing the confidence and bravery that grew from October’s Let Grow Independence Challenge! We’re thrilled that over 70 students participated last month!

Here are a just few examples of some favorite—and most common—projects students took on:
🚲 Riding a bike independently and learning to tie shoes were very popular choices!
🛌 A few students experienced their first-ever sleepover at a friend’s house.
🍽️ Several students ordered their own meal at a restaurant or helped their family shop for groceries.

Shout-out to all the students who participated—great job taking on the challenge and trying something new!

This month, students are encouraged to complete their ornament project, sharing how they helped their family at home. We can’t wait to see their stories and experiences displayed! 🎄
